Target Practice

This August I touched a pistol for the first time. Not that I'll ever own one or condone the idea, but as an insurance policy should I ever need to operate one. I got to fire off 3 different guns at a target 10 metres away. I was wearing plastic protection over my glasses, so it was hard to see where the previous shot had struck - so I just kept on aiming for the centre.

The .44 was extremely loud, even through the earmuffs. Heavy too. Probably due to not wanting to hold it up too long, it proved to be the most accurate, with the first three in the centre ring (instinct taking over).

I fired off twelve rounds of a .38, fifteen of a 9mm, and six of the .44 (which is similar to what Dirty Harry uses, I think).

This is the most I can fit on the A4 scanner.  I got all nines or better anyway.
