Driver's Privacy Protection Act (1997) involve who may see the personal information
included in someone's driver's record: - Personal information may be
disclosed for use by any requester if the requester demonstrates that it
has obtained written consent of the individual to whom the information
pertains.

private investigative agency or licensed security service for any purpose
permitted under this law.

by any insurer or insurance support organization...
Of course
you are allowed to see your own file, and usually this involves
including your full name, date of birth, driver's license number and social security
number. If you have these details of someone else, and gain their records without
their consent, you've probably broken the law...it would be more prudent to use
a licensed PI. Usually driving records are used for pre-employment screening,
informing on whether a person obeys traffic laws and/or pays their fines on time.
They can indicate the last reported address, date of birth,
social security number (only some states), DUI's, Moving violations, tickets,
accidents, reckless driving, speeding fines, suspended licenses & the county
where the offense occured

Revoked, suspended, canceled or denied? The
National Driver Register (NDR) is a central repository of information on individuals
whose privilege to drive has been revoked, suspended, canceled or denied or who
have been convicted of serious traffic-related offenses. The records maintained
at the NDR consist of identification information including name, date of birth,
gender, driver license number, and reporting State. All of the substantive information,
