 Electoral Roll 

Electoral Roll info - anyone can look it up and find where someone lives. You can view copies of all of the electoral rolls at any registrar of elector's office. Local rolls are also held at PostShops, local council offices, libraries and court houses. It isn't online.

 Old School Pals 

For such a small population, there are a lot of folk using these sites

• Find a Kiwi (merged with Kiwi's Reunited) - 200,000 people registered - that's 5% of the population!
• School Friends - not as popular as Find a Kiwi, but covers school, universities, clubs, defence units and workplaces in Australia and NZ
• Old Friends - 250,000 members
• NZ Past Pupils - less than a dozen Johns listed

• NZ Liquidations database - details on businesses currently being liquidated
• Yellow Pages
• Credit Reports - get your file from Baycorp

 Romance 

Online dating is alive and well in NZ. You might find plenty of Kiwis via international sites, but these should be better...

• FindSomeone - claim to have 100,000 profiles from registered users
• NZ Dating - NZ's 7th most visited site, also claims a community of 100,000
• Mate Finder - has merged (or was always a part of) FindSomeone

 Google 

They might have their name on a website, either personal, education or work-related. Search for them using Google and these types of search queries. The "site" part restricts the search to sites that are from that country.
